The Geography Laboratory at Hiralal Bhakat College plays a vital role in the academic and practical training of students pursuing geographical studies. Equipped with a variety of tools and instruments, the lab is designed to support the teaching and research needs of students and faculty alike.

The laboratory is furnished with essential geographical instruments, including theodolites, dumpy levels, plane tables, and prismatic compasses, which are used for field surveys and practical classes. Additionally, there are models, maps, globes, and weather instruments such as barometers, thermometers, and rain gauges. The lab also contains a variety of topographical sheets, satellite imageries, and aerial photographs that aid in the study of cartography, remote sensing, and GIS.

Number of Laboratory in the department: 03

1. Cartographic and Surveying laboratory: It contains all surveying instruments like prismatic compass, Brunton compass, dumpy level, theodolite, digital level, auto level, abney's level, clinometer, slide kaliper etc. 100 toposheets with various thematic maps are also available in this laboratory. 

2. Remote Sensing and GIS laboratory: Several high-speed computers with stable internet connections are available in this lab. QGIS software and MS Office are used as per the prescribed syllabus of the university. Moreover, pocket stereoscope, mirror stereoscope with areal photographs and satellite imagees are available for the students in this laboratory. 

3. Soil and water laboratory: A manual and digital soil and water testing laboratory has also been set up for the benefit of the students, where, digital P^H meters, digital soil and water testing kit, soil sieve and solution based soil kits are available.
